Graphic Anarchy:
The Punk TypographyManifesto

8.5 x 5.5 in zine, 44 pages, printed and staple bound

Inspired by punk zine subculture, essays titled "Intro to The Punk Ethos", "The Punk Graphic Voice", "Conventions of Punk Type", "The Sex Pistols and Jamie Reid", "Punk Pins and Badges", "Punk Publishing", "Punk Graphics", and "Punk Design in Tomorrow".

The goal of this zine project was to explore and document the unique typographic styles within punk culture, analyzing how these elements communicate the movement's ethos. I approached this by initially identifying the core visual themes and historical context of punk typography. My process included experimenting with different layouts, image treatments, and text presentation to strike a balance between informative content and creative expression. The design of the zine itself aimed to complement and showcase punk graphic design work while subtly incorporating it's themes.
